Ronald A. Young
Attorney
Ronald Avery Young is a proud native of Memphis whose legal career began through the Memphis Bar Association’s Summer Law Internship Program (SLIP), where he was placed at what was then Bailey & Greer as a high school student. He started by shredding papers and observing depositions and court proceedings. That formative experience sparked a commitment to advocacy that ultimately led him back to the same firm, now known as Greer Injury Lawyers, as an attorney.
Ronald is a Double Vol, having earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee. During law school, he served as President of the Student Bar Association, was named the Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis Scholar, selected as his graduating class speaker, and helped raise nearly $100,000 to support the College of Law and its student initiatives. During this time—and continuing into his work at Greer Injury Lawyers—he also contributed to The Tennessee Trial Lawyer magazine and remains engaged in the broader trial lawyer community.
Since joining Greer Injury Lawyers, Ronald has contributed to countless cases involving serious injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. He also helped launch the firm’s Giveback Program, which supports local nonprofits throughout the midsouth. Known for his approachable nature and passion for mentorship, Ronald regularly speaks to students and young professionals on leadership, public service, and careers in law. In recognition of his ongoing commitment to service and the legal community, Ronald was recently appointed to the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law Alumni Council, which advises the Dean and advances the school’s long-term vision. Now licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Ronald is proud to bring relentless drive to every case as he fights for the injured, lifts up those in need, and serves his community with purpose and pride.
In his free time, Ronald enjoys golfing, traveling, and staying connected to his community through his membership at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
